What Does Rental Car Insurance Excess Cover?
Rental Car Insurance Excess covers the insurance excess amount or repair costs (whichever is lower) that you would have to pay if your rental car is stolen or damaged while in your control during the trip. It also covers the cost of returning your rental car to the nearest depot, including related airport concession charges, if you can’t return the car due to a covered event.
It's important to note that Rental Car Insurance Excess is not the same as Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) that rental car companies often offer.
